Η Παναγιά των Λουλουδιών είναι μία από τις πιο αγαπημένες εικόνες της Παναγίας, που η λατρεία της αναπτύχθηκε ιδιαίτερα στη Σύρο. Η εικόνα συνδέεται με θαυματουργές ιστορίες, όπως το θαύμα του ευόσμου λουλουδιού το χειμώνα, που αποτέλεσε και την προέλευση της ονομασίας της. Στο ποίημα του Διονύσιου Σολωμού «Ο Ελ Λαμπαδόρος», η Παναγιά των Λουλουδιών αναφέρεται ως «Φως και Θάλλα» (φως και κάλλος), αποτυπώνοντας την αισθηματική και πνευματική της σημασία.
